Doctor of Medicine

So I have received my offer to study medicine and I am thrilled!

Hard work really does pay off! There is still a long road ahead until I choose my speciality but it will all be worth it.
I am a massive travel fan; so having the opportunity to study abroad is amazing and definitely something that I am looking forward to. I like exploring new places and countries, as well as exposing myself to new cultures and tasting new food.
I have been in touch with other students who will be on my course and others that have nearly finished their medical degree at the university. I am very excited to embark on my career journey as a medical doctor graduating with an MD, which means that once I have completed my graduate degree, I will be a Doctor of Medicine.
Being a 5-hour plane journey from my friends will be tough, but I will keep in touch with them often and visit them whenever I get the chance. I have a huge support network here in the United Kingdom. Luckily, I have the option of doing my clinical placements in the United Kingdom for my final 3 years, which is perfect!
The support I have received throughout my journey has been great!
Here is my timeline! It all started in 2010. At the age of 10, I remember asking my teacher to help me spell the word paediatrician. She wrote it down for me on a small piece of paper.
2010: Aspiring to become a doctor at 10 years old.
2015: Completing my GCSEs at 15 years old.
2018: Completing my A-Levels at 18 years old.
2021: Completing BSc Medical Science at 21 years old.
2021: Graduate Medicine offer at 21 years old.
Cheers to 2021!
